I’m Constantinos Cardassilaris, founder of this new chapter in a legacy that began over 160 years ago in Chios, Greece. Our story is rooted in tradition, family, and a deep love for the dried fruit and nut trade.

Founded in 1862 by my ancestor Dimitris Cardassilaris, the Cardassilaris name has passed through five generations of trusted agricultural exporters and food traders—evolving from citrus orchards and dried fruits to one of the most respected names in the global nut and dried fruit industry.

Today, I carry this heritage forward with a mission:
To connect buyers and sellers across the globe with the finest certified products, exceptional service, and a modern, ethical approach to trade.

CONSTANTINOS RESUME

As co-founder of the Cardassilaris Family, Constantinos brings years of experience and industry insights to the table. His very first interaction with nuts and dried fruits was when he was five years old, and his father took him to the family business, Cardico's factory. Growing up, he was exposed to the day-to-day functions and happenings at the various factories and workshops that came under Cardico SA.
Having a deep understanding of how the nuts and dried fruit industry works, he has been able to juggle various roles across different departments. During his time at Cardico SA, he assumed management roles in the production, logistics, quality assurance, imports and exports, as well as sales & purchase departments.
Active in the financial restructuring of his family business, Constantinos possesses the necessary professional and people skills required in the industry to make the right calculated risks to ensure success.
This experience helped him develop a natural intuition and keen eye on determining what kind of product deals must be made at the appropriate time, as well as predict market conditions based on past experiences and historical development of the market.
The experience from both his childhood and professional years have helped Constantinos understand the industry completely. With accurate knowledge of nuts, dried fruits and seeds, he is able to determine their strengths and weaknesses, as well as understand how crop and weather conditions can affect their consumption values.
He thoroughly understands the European market, and how regulatory changes can affect consumer behaviours, as well as the interconnectivity between the shipping and the dried fruit and nut industries.
Constantinos has served in the Greek military and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing & Management from the American College of Greece, Deree college. He enjoys music, having tried his hand at DJing, as well as literature, cinema, and photography.
